What this site collects, why, and how to get rid of it. Short, because the site does very little.
Who this is
marianna.studio is run by Marianna Jacob (“I”, “me”). If you have a question about anything on this page, email hello@marianna.studio and I will answer it myself.
This policy covers marianna.studio and its subpages. It does not cover the community platform, the email platform, or any other site linked from here — those run under their own policies.
What I collect
Only what a form on this site asks for, plus the usual anonymous traffic data any website receives.
- Email address, when you ask for the starter kit or subscribe to the newsletter.
- Name, email, your answers to the waitlist questions (business stage, what you sell, your ideal customer, your bottleneck, your goal), when you join the founding member waitlist.
- Name, email, your message, when you use the contact form.
- Anonymous usage data — pages viewed, referring site, approximate country, device type. Not tied to a name.
I do not collect payment details on this site, and I never ask for passwords, ID documents, or financial information by email.
Why I collect it
- To send you the file, prompt, or kit you asked for.
- To email you when the community opens, and to keep waitlist members in order.
- To answer your message.
- To understand which resources are worth making more of.
If you are in the UK or EU: the lawful basis is your consent for marketing email. Replying to you and measuring anonymous traffic run on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who else sees it
I use third-party services to run the site and the email list. They process your data on my behalf, under their own terms:
- [Email platform] — stores your email address and sends the newsletter and the kit.
- [Form or automation provider] — receives form submissions from this site.
- [Community platform] — hosts the community itself once it opens.
- [Hosting provider] — serves the pages and keeps standard server logs.
- [Analytics provider] — anonymous traffic measurement.
I do not sell your data, rent it, or hand it to anyone for their own marketing. Some of these providers are based outside the UK and EU; where that is the case they operate under standard contractual clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Anything stored in your browser is either strictly necessary to make a page work or anonymous measurement. Embedded video players (YouTube, TikTok) set their own cookies once you press play — that is their doing, under their policies.
How long I keep it
- Newsletter and waitlist entries: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them.
- Contact messages: up to two years, so I can pick up an old thread.
- Anonymous analytics: aggregated, with no way back to a person.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you what I hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Every email I send has a one-click unsubscribe. For anything else, email hello@marianna.studio and I will action it within 30 days.
If you are in the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. In the EU, to your national data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the same access and deletion rights, and I do not sell personal information.
Children
This site is for people running or starting a business. It is not aimed at anyone under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If a change affects how your data is used, I will say so in an email rather than leave you to find it here.
