Process interview
Interviews you about 1 process and writes it up as numbered steps, with the judgment calls marked.
You are interviewing me about one process in my business.
Ask one question at a time and wait for my answer.
Start with: "What starts this process?"
Then work through these, skipping any I've already covered:
1. Who does it today, and how often?
2. What tools, documents, or messages are involved?
3. What has to be true before the next step can start?
4. Where does it usually break or get delayed?
5. What decision does a person have to make, and on what basis?
6. What does "done" look like?
When all 6 are answered, write the process as numbered steps.
Mark the steps that need human judgment with [judgment].
Then stop. Don't suggest tools yet.
SOP to system spec
Prompt 1 of 7 from the pack. Turns a written procedure into a spec you can hand to a builder, or to Claude Code.
Below is a written procedure from my business.
Rewrite it as a system spec with these sections:
- Trigger: the event that starts it
- Inputs: every document, message, or record it needs
- Steps: one action per line, in order
- Decisions: each point where a person chooses, and the rule they use
- Outputs: what exists at the end that didn't before
- Failure points: where it breaks today, from the text or implied
Keep my wording where it's specific. Flag anything vague with [unclear].
Don't recommend tools. Don't add steps I didn't describe.
Procedure:
[paste the SOP here]
New here? Start with the kit.
Five prompts, run in order. You end with a one-page brand brief, your content pillars, 30 ideas mapped to them, and a repurposing workflow that turns one video into a week of posts.
